As his reputation has grown, Bloodshot Bill has been deemed a musical wildman, a primitive, a seminal punk, a throwback to the wild '50s, and the deranged spirit of psychobilly madness. Since his first self-released album in 2001, Bloodshot Bill has churned out seventeen more LPs and over thirty singles-including collaborations with King Khan, Mark Sultan, Deke Dickerson, Shannon Shaw (Shannon & the Clams), and the 5.6.7.8's. From a suitcase full of self-recorded tapes, he's built a feverishly prolific body of work that digs deep into the raw roots of mutant rock 'n' roll. With So Fed Up, his nineteenth studio album, Bloodshot Bill keeps the fire burning. Written in the aftermath of a breakup and a barrage of unsolicited advice ("Cut your hair?"-come on), the record crackles with the defiance of someone who's had enough and isn't shy about saying so. Relationships-rocky, romantic, and everything in between-have always fueled his craft, but here, there's a new sharpness to the storytelling. These songs don't just smolder-they cut. Think homemade shiv, or a shard of broken glass: raw, improvised, and dangerously effective.
