DIGGERS FACTORY - VS21
A poet as much as a musician, L o Ferr was too rebellious and too inspired to fit into the mold of the post-war music business. For many years, only the cabarets known as "left bank" of the capital welcomed this Monegasque who did not really have the physique of the job. Thanks to some recognized interpreters, in particular Catherine Sauvage, his songs nevertheless touched a much wider public. From the 1950s to the early 1960s, this anthology traces the rise of L o Ferr and the affirmation of a style that refused to make concessions; a journey that took him to the greatest music-hall stages (Bobino, Olympia, Alhambra). He developed during fifty years a continuous creative breath which makes him the essential poet of the second half of the twentieth century, anarchist authoritarian tendency.
