Sleaford Mods have covered The Pet Shop Boys' iconic West End Girls, with proceeds from the single going to charity Shelter.

If the original is a sophisticated exposé of the 80s Britain, the duo have skilfully distressed the shimmering classic with sharp synths and scuffed-up vocals to mirror our own dysfunctional days.

Not only did the Nottingham duo's West End Girls meet with Neil Tenant and Chris Lowe's personal approval, but the pair were inspired to create a remix which features as a B-side.
