Despite the fact that The Beatles were relatively unknown in the US at the start of 1964, their publicity agents, Sid Bernstein and Derek Taylor worked tirelessly to promote their arrival and they managed to organize the massive reception that greeted the band at New York's Kennedy Airport on February 7, 1964, where they were greeted by throngs of screaming girls. 'They sing, they play, they act, and the girls scream. What more could anyone want?' said The New York Times reviewing their first performance. And who are we to argue?
